Scope & future
BA English is a versatile, low-cost degree that builds communication and critical-thinking skills employers value across media, education, business and public service. Its open-endedness is both strength and risk: outcomes depend heavily on internships, writing portfolios and added skills. Self-directed students do very well; passive ones can struggle to convert the degree into a career.
📈 India’s media, entertainment and digital-content sector continues to grow steadily year on year, sustaining demand for strong writers, editors and communicators — though competition for the best roles is high.
