B.Tech — Electrical Engineering
Power the world — from grids and machines to renewables, EVs and embedded control systems.
Course overview
B.Tech Electrical Engineering is a four-year core engineering degree covering the generation, transmission, distribution and use of electrical power, along with machines, control systems, power electronics and increasingly renewables, electric vehicles and smart grids. It is one of the oldest, most stable engineering branches with public-sector (PSU), core-industry and emerging clean-energy careers, plus the option to move into IT/software.
Is B.Tech — Electrical Engineering right for you?
✅ Choose it if you…
are fascinated by how power, machines and energy systems work, enjoy physics and maths, and want a stable core branch with PSU and clean-energy options.
⚠️ Reconsider if you…
you have little interest in physics-heavy hardware and only want to write software — a computing branch is a more direct route.
